The portal has been a success for both patients and the practice! However, if you are using the portal for an acute or urgent problem, please walk away from your computer, pick up your phone and please call the office 24/7. The portal is great for routine questions and matters, but not when you are in distress !

Welcome to my independent practice which opened over 31 years ago in September 1986.  This website has been designed to answer most of your questions and should provide you with a better understanding of how my practice works. If you have any questions,  don’t hesitate to ask my staff or me.

Family Medicine

I am a solo family physician. Family physicians are specialists just like gynecologists or internists. Their 3 year residency training in Family Medicine after medical school includes six broad areas of medicine –pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatry, surgery, obstetrics/gynecology and community medicine – providing the “know-how” necessary to handle 90-95 percent of all illnesses.

The family physician’s educational background and practice orientation enables him or her to offer continuing and comprehensive care to all patients – regardless of sex or age – in the environment provided by the family and the community. Periodic re-examination and continuing medical education assures continued up to date medical care.

Continuity of care is a very important element in family medicine. It means that your family physician is always your personal doctor, also when consulting with another specialist.

Family physicians are also very interested in preventive medicine. Put simply, this means being just as interested in keeping you healthy as in getting you well.
